Highway 61 Revisited
Now, with stunning authenticity, Joel Gilbert and Highway 61 Revisited, the World’s Only Bob Dylan Tribute Band, recreate Bob Dylan’s most passionate and energetic performance to the stage every night. With an acoustic and an electric set, fans of all ages revel in experiencing Bob Dylan again, or for the first time! The poetry, symbolism and power of Bob Dylan’s greatest performances still resonate today, thanks to Joel Gilbert and Highway 61 Revisited.
This look alike/sound alike Bob Dylan Tribute features three former Dylan band members, special guests violinist Scarlet Rivera and bassist Rob Stoner from Bob Dylan’s Desire album and Rolling Thunder Revue tour of 1975-1976, and drummer Winston Watson from Dylan’s 1992-1996 Never Ending Tour band.
Scarlet Rivera is most known for her work on the Dylan hit songs “Hurricane” and “One More Cup of Coffee,” as well as subsequent Dylan albums Hard Rain, Live 1975, and Biograph.
Rob Stoner was Bob Dylan's bass player and bandleader from 1975-1978, Rob Stoner recorded on Dylan’s albums Desire, Hard Rain, Budokan, and Live 1975. “Rockin” Rob Stoner was the “instrumental” ingredient in Dylan’s touring bands of these years, especially known for his rivetting duet with Dylan on “Isis.” Stoner is also known for playing bass and singing backgrounds on the Don McClean hit “American Pie.”
Winston Watson was Bob Dylan’s Never Ending Tour band drummer from 1992-1996, the longest stretch Dylan ever had one band with no changes. Winston appeared on Dylan's MTV Unplugged, and recorded some songs on Time Out of Mind. Winston Watson was very popular with Dylan fans because of his joyful expressions and energetic drumming style, adding alot of pizzaz to Dylan's show when Dylan needed it most.
